Instructions

All applicants are required to have or create an account to complete and submit your application. Keep your user name and password handy so that you can "save a draft" and return to complete your submission. (Note: remember to click on the "Save Draft" button at the bottom of the page often. The form will not Auto-Save.) Also this user name and password will continue to be used for agency reporting and future applications.

  • CREATE AN ACCOUNT (New users only - an email will be sent to you)
  • RESET YOUR PASSWORD (if your email has been used previously, you can reset your password)
  • LOGOUT (Be sure to log out once you have saved your draft or submitted your application)
  • GRANT PROCESS (Learn more about the application process).

Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Do not leave any blanks; enter N/A if not applicable.

Criteria for different CCUW Grant Cycles

Large RFP Grant

Grant Cycle Closed

RFP Eligibility Requirements for the CCUW's Large Grant you must provide with application:

  • Requesting at least $10,000,
  • Have a volunteer board of directors who meet at least quarterly,
  • Focus on health, income stability or education,
  • Agree to provide mid-year/end of year reports,
  • Provide demographic information,
  • Provide outcome measurements,
  • Copy of 501 C-3,
  • Copy of Most recent 990,
  • Copy of Most recent audit,
  • Copy of Current solicitation license.

Youth Council Grant

Grant cycle Currently Closed

Catawba County Youth Council community grants in partnership with Catawba County United Way.

  • Applications due midnight March 1.
  • For grants up to $3,200.
  • Agencies must be incorporated as a not-for-profit, tax-exempt entity or have a 501-C3 legal status.
  • Requests target the Impact Areas of Health and/or Education related to the needs of Catawba County youth (ages 0-18).
  • Applications are reviewed and approved or declined by Youth Council.
  • If approved, agencies will be interviewed by the Youth Council.

Small Businesses Love Big Grant

Grant cycle opens in August.

Small companies in Catawba County invest in local non-profit programs.

  • The non-profit agency and its program being funded is focused on helping Catawba Co. residents.
  • Program impacts those in need in one or more CCUW impact area: health, education, income.
  • Provide proof of 501c3 status.
  • Provide impact report after use of funds, including demographics.
  • Seeking $2,000 to $5,000 grants.
  • Not currently receiving funds through the CCUW RFP grant process. 

Applications due in September.
