United Way extends drive with new online donation option
The cost of gas has gone up. The price of food has gone up. The price of rent has gone up.
Now more than ever families can use a hand to make ends meet.
And the Catawba County United Way (CCUW) is focused on helping parents and teachers meet those needs throughout the new school year with new online donation option that drop ships items directly to the United Way.
Donations benefit students in all three local public-school districts: Catawba County, Hickory Public and Newton-Conover City Schools. Supplies will be distributed to school districts directly in the fall.
We had a phenomenal 2022, with a record number of items collected and funds raised to help provide local families with the supplies they need throughout the school year. Families can access the supplies through their schools’ guidance counselor office.
The success of the CCUW School Supply Drive means hundreds of local students have the tools they need to succeed.
