How critical are volunteers to Catawba County United Way and other non-profit agencies?
In 2019, the value of the hours donated by volunteers JUST to Catawba County United Way was $122,700!
During times of crisis, people need help and non-profits need volunteers. There are government agencies assigned to this task. However, it’s not always enough. When ordinary people do their part to help, the task of aiding the grief stricken becomes easier. Another reason volunteering is important is that you give others hope.
A downtrodden person will be uplifted when he or she realizes that there are people out there who will help them out. It brings back their faith. The Catawba County United Way’s Volunteer Center works to connect those looking to help with local non-profits in need of an extra hand.
